The latest news on the team is that we are going to finish out the season and playoffs!!!
What a terrible game for me to have a sore foot. On the last home game of the regular season none the less. We are now a step closer to top 4 with Saturday’s win. What a great game to watch, the entire team played very well. I would say we gave the fans a great show. It was a shame that my foot was swollen and sore. Would have been a great game to jack up some three’s!! It looked like Znich just gave up after halftime. We had a 15 point lead at the start of the 3rd quarter and in less then 4 minutes we were up 30. Even our young guys got to get in and play, and played pretty well at that. The fans were great with chants, songs, and confetti after the win. We now travel to sportino to close out the regular season. If we win, we will be in the top 4 which would be a great accomplishment.
The funniest thing for me was after the game when a “TMZ” (tabloid paper in the states) reporter asked for an interview. Since I did not play I knew this was going to be something about my blog. I was correct and the first question was “did you not play because of penalty?” I had no idea what he was talking about and he elaborated that I got penalty for writing my blog which is obviously not the case. I told him I only wrote the truth on my blog and did not play because of my foot. He then went on and accused me of complaining about the Sopot trip. If you read my blog no where on there did I complain about that trip last week (I did complain about the hotel, but come on you saw the pictures!), I simply pointed out the fact that we took small vans to the away games. The guy continued to get worse with his questions because I guess his “SOURCES” were telling him things, but they were pretty inaccurate. I guess I can’t blame this guy for trying to make a story for his paper.
I have come to find out I have a lot of power with this blog which is evident from our own team website coming out with a statement to save face from my last blog entry. I actually read it and was a little surprised that MY own team would kind of insult me like that. So I wrote this whole 2 page thing I was going to post on here, but I decided to take the high road on this and keep away from the battle of words on the internet. You should be proud mother!!
Skip’s Birthday was Tuesday so some of us went to grill house and bowling. We have actually eaten at the grill house like three times in the past two weeks. They usually have to call their chef back in since we don’t get there until about 8:30 after practice. I had wild hog for the first time and it was very good. It comes out looking like a hamburger. I think I would have enjoyed it with a bun and all the ingredients that make a great sandwich.
Rio bowling is the place to lace the clown shoes up. It is in the basement of a hotel by the beach. The worst thing about it is there are only 4 lanes in the place. After we waited for a lane, we made teams and started knocking down some pins. It was skip, I, and Breniu (NEVER bowled before) against Kiko, Drew, and Simon. My team ended up smashing them, and Breniu should rethink his career in basketball because he was a decent bowler. I took home the high score with a 164 while Kiko took the worst not even getting 100. Drew took home the fall of the night. On his first shot he slipped and hit the ground pretty hard, but he still managed to get a strike on the throw.
I have a done a terrible job with taking pictures lately!! I will try to get back in the habit!
Until next time!
This is BC gone for now
